If you have "Classic Start menu"
      1. Right-click the "My Network places" icon and select "Properties" or click the "Start" button and select Settings | Control Panel | Network connections or select Settings | Network connections.
      2. If you have more than one network card, select the necessary network card, right-click on it and select "Properties".
      3. Select Internet protocol (TCP/IP).
      4. Press the "Properties..." button. You'll get the TCP/IP Properties box.
      5. You can find your IP address in the IP address field. If "Obtain an IP address automatically" option is on, you need to ask your network administrator about your IP address.

      • personal static IP address but IP address you see on your computer is different from your public IP address.
      • personal dynamic IP address - if you connect through the dial-up/ADSL.
      • non-personal static/dynamic IP address. If your ISP has the same public IP address for a range of users (eg. for your office, building, etc.), you don't have an easy way to receive notes over the Internet. We recommend you to contact your ISP to try to resolve the problem.
If you don't know your IP address, you can:
      • consult your ISP
      • use different IP tests.
      • use a command-line utility ipconfig
      Syntax: ipconfig [/all]
ipconfig /all : Displays the full TCP/IP configuration for all adapters. Without this parameter, ipconfig displays only the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway values for each adapter. Adapters can represent physical interfaces, such as installed network adapters, or logical interfaces, such as dial-up connections.

For your convenience notes database backup file name consists of the date and time of creation (format of file name YYYY-MM-DD--HH-MM-SS, eg. 2004-10-10--01-02-03).
Using "Autobackup" Capacity you can select how many *.dat files backups may be stored at the same time. If number of *.dat files backups exceeds the Autobackup capacity, the oldest *.dat files will be removed.

Can I restore an expired note?
If the Recycle Bin option is on, all deleted and expired notes are placed to the Recycle Bin and can be restored any time you want. The number of notes that can be stored in the Recycle Bin is limited by the Recycle Bin capacity (by default the Recycle Bin capacity is 10 notes). If number of deleted and expired notes exceeds the Recycle Bin capacity, the oldest notes will be removed.
The Recycle Bin is accessible from the Notes + + tray menu. To restore the note, just choose it from the list of notes and click the Restore button or right-click on the note and select restore in the context menu.
