The color of the program ray icon depends on if there are hidden sticky notes or not. Red tray icon indicates there are some hidden sticky notes; the tray icon becomes blue when all sticky notes are shown.

Notes PP - computer sticky notes software - Overview
Notes PP is digital notes software that helps you keep all information you have to remember on the desktop of your computer. It is a great digital notes tool to organize information, make to-do lists or just write down ideas, phone numbers, addresses, quick messages and other info in a quick and easy way using digital notes.
Using NotesPP, you can set alarm for each digital note to be reminded about daily tasks or special dates and events such as birthdays, anniversaries and business meetings at the appointed time. NotesPP lets you define different alarm actions. So, you can be reminded with popup/flash note notification, playing beep or *.wav files, opening web pages and documents and running programs at a specified time, computer shutting down.
Because of recurrent alarm feature reminders can be set to occur as often as you want.
NotesPP also keeps you informed of the events you missed when the computer was turned off.
You can set alarm action to occur at the certain time. If necessary you can activate recurrent alarm - alarm action occurs:
- certain number of times with fixed interval between alarms;
- constantly with fixed interval between alarms.

How to create digital notes
To create a digital note in Default Notes Group, left double-click on the program tray icon or select Notes|New note in Default Group in the program tray menu or press Ctrl+N.
How to make reminders
How to set reminder (set alarm action to occur at the certain time):
If you don't have any notes, you should create a new note.
Right-click on the note and select Settings|Alarm set in the context menu.
The "Alarm settings" window appears.
Turn the "Alarm feature" on by selecting Alarm on.

Choose alarm date and time.
If you need to activate recurrent alarm:
put the check mark next to "Repeat" and
- if you want to repeat alarm action certain number of times - put the radio button in "Repeat times" field, set number of times and set time interval between alarms;
- if you want to repeat alarm action constantly - put the radio button in "Constantly" field and set time interval.
Choose alarm action(s) (popup note, flash note, play beep, play *.wav file, run program/open file or url, Shut Down Windows).
Click OK. Note: Alarm Stop icon in the top left-hand corner indicates alarm function is on.

How to change digital notes appearance
Digital note's title
To change digital note's title font:
Right-click on digital note and select Title|Font in the context menu.
Make necessary changes.
Click OK.
To change digital note's title font color:
Right-click on digital note and select Title|Font color in the context menu.
Select a new color from the palette.
Click OK.
To change digital note's title background color:
Select Title|Background color in the context menu .
Select a new color from the palette.
Click OK.
digital note's body
To change digital note's body font:
Select Body|Font in the context menu.
Make necessary changes.
Click OK.
To change digital note's body font color
Select Body|Font color in the context menu.
Select a new color from the palette.
Click OK.
To change digital note's body background color:
Select Body|Background color in the context menu.
Select a new color from the palette.
Click OK.
To change digital note's body background image:
Select Body|Background image in the context menu.
Select a new image (*.jpg, *.bmp).
Click OK.
digital note's size
You can change digital note's size using zoom commands or manually.
Using Set note's size feature you can change digital note's size or view current digital note's size in pixels.
digital notes can be minimized to save you desk space. To minimize a digital note, righ-click on it and select Settings|Zoom|Minimize in the context menu. Minimum note size is set in default settings (min width not less than 100 pixels, min height not less than 50 pixels) and may be changed to your preference. To maximize a digital note, select Settings|Zoom|Maximize in the context menu.
The Settings|Zoom|to fit Title and Settings|Zoom|to fit Body commands automatically resize the digital note window to fit the note information.
How to edit digital notes
Digital notes support RTF format that allows you to edit the note any way you want. Also you can change line spacing, align the text, use "Bulleted and Numbered list" feature.
Editing is available only for unlocked digital notes. Changes are saved automatically.
Right-click on digital note and select Title|Edit in the context menu to begin title editing. To finish title editing, click on the finish title edit icon or press Enter or select Title|Finish title edit in the context menu. Editing is also stopped if you change note's parameters or click on the Hide or Lock icon.
For body editing right-click on digital note and select Body|Edit in the context menu or click on the note's body. The body will be ready for editing. If you want to finish body editing, click in any point of the screen.
Undo/redo, copy/paste/cut/delete commands may be performed while editing.
If you need to make all note information visible, use the Settings|Zoom|to fit Title and Settings|Zoom| to fit Body commands (automatically resize the note window to fit the note information) or change note size manual.
Working with note's text

Paragraph Line Spacing
Line spacing is the amount of space from the bottom of one line of text to the bottom of the next line. Line spacing determines the amount of vertical space between lines of text in a paragraph. By default, lines are single-spaced.
To change line spacing:
- Select the text you want to change.
- Right-click the note and select Body -> Paragraph from the context menu.
- In the "Paragraph Settings" window select the Line Spacing type you need.
Types of line spacing:
Single
1.5 lines (One-and-one-half times that of single line spacing)
Double (Twice that of single line spacing)
Multiple (Multiple times that of single line spacing)
Note: if you select Multiple, enter the Multiplier.
- Click OK.
Paragraph alignment
Horizontal alignment determines the appearance and orientation of the paragraph edges: left-aligned, right-aligned, centered.
To align the text:
- Select the text you want to align.
- Right-click the note and select Body -> Paragraph.
- In the "Paragraph Settings" window select the alignment type you need.
- Click OK.
Bulleted and Numbered Lists
Working with note's text you can create bulleted and numbered lists. You can quickly add bullets or numbers to existing lines of text, or the program can automatically create lists as you type.
Add bullets or numbering to existing text:
- Select the text you want to add bullets or numbering to.
- Right-click the note and select Body -> Paragraph.
- In the "Paragraph Settings" window, open the "Bulleted and Numbered Lists" drop-down menu and select "Bullets" or necessary numbering format.
Remove bullets or numbering
- Select the text from which you want bullets or numbering removed.
- Right-click the note and select Body -> Paragraph.
- In the "Paragraph Settings" window, open the "Bulleted and Numbered Lists" drop-down menu and select "None" item.
How to print digital notes
To print a digital note:
Right-click on digital note and select Print note in the context menu.
Follow the instructions in the Print dialogs.
How to set digital notes default settings
digital notes default settings may be defined and changed to user preference. Default settings for title and body can be modified independently of one another.
To change digital notes default settings:
Select Properties|Default settings in tray menu.

Make necessary changes.
Click OK.
Share digital notes with your friends and colleagues
You can use digital notes software to send/receive digital notes to/from your friends or colleagues over LAN or Internet. digital notes will appear on the recipient desktop just as they were on yours. Furthermore, digital notes software can be used as a reminder service. Using Secure Reminder you can set up alarm (including recurring alarm) for each note you send to your friends or co-workers to remind them about daily tasks or special dates and events using different alarm actions, set expiration date for the note you are sending.
Send digital notes over LAN or the Internet
To send a digital note over LAN or Internet:
Go to the digital note you want to send.
Choose "Send note" from the context menu.

Enter the recipient IP address or computer's name to direct a note to a specific computer.
Click "Send" button.
Send notes via email
Using digital notes software you can send notes via email to any email address. The e-mail will be created using your default e-mail client. Recipient will receive your note in the form of letter with note's body inserted into the e-mail body and note's title as a subject. You can edit the e-mail before sending.
Go to the digital note you want to send.
Choose "Send note" from the context menu.
Select "Send Note via E-mail" option
Enter recipient e-mail address. You can also specify multiple recipients by typing more than one e-mail address separating with a comma (',').
Click "Send" button
Created e-mail appears. You can edit and send it.
Organize digital notes in memoboards
"Notes Groups" feature helps you organize digital notes on the computer desktop into categories according to their nature: to-do lists, addresses, accounts, etc. This feature prevents cluttering of notes on the desktop and allows quickly and easily access any group of notes.

To create a new Notes Group:
Double-click the program tray icon and select the "Notes Groups" item from the tray menu.
"Manage Notes Groups" window appears.
Click the "Add Group" button.
In the "Add/modify notes group" window enter the Group Name. If you want to use this group as default, put the check mark next to "Set as Default".
Click OK.
To show/hide a Notes Group:
Double-click the program tray icon and select the "Notes Groups" item from the tray menu.
"Manage Notes Groups" window appears.
Select the Notes Group you want to show/hide.
Click the "Show Group"/"Hide Group" button.
Click OK.
To set default Notes Group:
Double-click the program tray icon and select the "Notes Groups" item from the tray menu.
"Manage Notes Groups" window appears.
Select the Notes Group you want to set as default.
Note: "password note" Group can't be set as default.
Click the "Edit Group" button.
Put the check mark next to "Set as default".
Digital notes priority levels
You can create digital notes with different priority levels (high, normal, low) to make your work more convenient. Digital notes with low priority are hidden under other windows; hide icon is yellow. Digital notes with normal priority are organized to keep standard Windows order; hide icon for such notes is green.Digital notes with high priority are always on the top, hide icon is red.
To change digital note's priority, select Settings|Priority in the context menu and choose the necessary priority level.
Show/hide digital notes
To hide digital note, click on the hide icon ("X") or select Notes|Show/Hide in the program tray menu and select the note you want to be hidden. To show digital note, select Notes|Show/Hide in the tray menu and select the note you want to be shown.
If you want to hide all digital notes that are currently displayed, open program tray menu and select Notes|Show/Hide|Hide all or press Ctrl+H. To show all digital notes, select Notes|Show/Hide|Show all in the tray menu or press Ctrl+S.
Minimize digital notes
Sticky notes can be minimized to save desk space by displaying only notes' titles. Only unlocked digital notes can be minimized on the desktop. To hide digital note's body, click twice on the title or select Title only in the context menu. To show digital note's body, click twice on the title or select Title only in the context menu.
How to lock digital notes
To lock digital note, select Settings | Lock note in the context menu or click on the lock icon ("pencil"). Lock icon is red if the digital note is locked; white lock icon indicates the digital note is unlocked.
To unlock a digital note:
For low security level, click on the lock icon or select Unlock in the context menu.
For normal and high security levels click on the lock icon or select Unlock in the context menu. Enter password to unlock a note.
If you want digital notes to be locked automatically:
Select Properties|Default settings in program tray menu.
Select Auto lock function and set the time.
Access program and digital notes by tray menu
Sticky notes software resides in the system tray that provides quick and easy access to digital notes and program options. Program tray menu is accessible by right-clicking on the program tray icon.
Program security levels
Sticky notes programs maintain three security levels (high, normal, low):
Low security level
All digital notes are created by Guest account. You can create new digital notes, work with locked digital notes or change Administrative tools without password. Number of users is not limited, but the total number of notes is limited in Administrative tools (not more than it is set for Guest account).
Normal security level
The access to the program and digital notes is varied for different users. To create new digital notes and work with locked digital notes, you have to know the password. If you want to make changes in Administrative tools, you have to enter the administrative password. The number of digital notes you can create is limited in Administrative tools. If number of digital notes for Guest account is not zero, any user is able to create new notes by Guest account and work with Guest notes without password (Guest notes have low security level).
High security level
This program security level is appropriate for one-person use. If you want to create new digital notes, work with locked digital notes or make changes in Administrative tools, you have to know the administrative password. The number of digital notes you can create is limited in Administrative tools (not more than it is set for Admin account).
How to attach files and urls to digital notes
This feature enables you to get easy and quick access to attachments. The number of attachments is unlimited.
To attach a file:
Right-click on digital note and select the Attaches|Attach file to note item from context menu or right-click on the "Attach panel"(if it is shown) and select "attach file to note" in the context menu.
Select file you want to attach.
Click the Open button.
To add url:
Right-click on digital note and select the Attaches|Add url to note item from context menu or right-click on the "Attach panel"(if it is shown) and select "add url to note" in the context menu.
Enter url you want to add.
Click the Add button.
How to associate digital notes with files, programs and windows
Associate digital notes with files
Using this feature you can associate digital notes with certain files. The digital note appears on the desktop any time you open the file the digital note is stuck to; if you close the file, the digital note disappears. The digital note is hidden if the file it is stuck to is closed.
To associate digital note with file:
Right-click on digital notes and choose the Links|Associate with files or right-click on the "Attach panel" and select "associate with file" in the context menu.
Choose the file (*.doc, *.xls, *.pdf) you want to associate the note with.
Click the Open button.
Associate digital notes with windows
Using this feature you can associate digital notes with any program/window you want. Note: to associate a digital note with the certain programs/windows you should run the necessary programs/open the windows so they are in the "Associate Note with windows" window in the "Application Window Title" column. The digital note appears on the desktop any time you open the program/window the note is stuck to; if you close the program/window, the digital note disappears. The digital note is hidden if the program/window it is stuck to is closed.

Right-click on digital notes and choose the Links|Associate with windowsor right-click on the "Attach panel" and select "associate with window" in the context menu.
"Associate Note with windows" window with a list of opening programs/windows appears.

Choose the program(s)/window(s) you want to associate the digital note with. Note: to associate a digital note with the certain programs/windows you should run the necessary programs/open the windows so they are in the "Associate Note with windows" window in the "Application Window Title" column.
Click the OK button.
How to search digital notes
Using "search" feature you can quickly find digital notes with necessary information.
To find certain digital notes:
Right-click program tray icon and select the Search item.
"Search" window appears.

Enter search string.
Select where you want to search.
Click the Search button.
You'll be presented with the list of digital notes which contain search string.
To show the certain note, select it and click the "Show selected notes" button.
For low program security level
By default, you can search all existing notes except "Title only + Locked Notes". If you want to search all digital notes, select the "All Notes" radio button.
For normal security level
By default, you can search all existing digital notes except "Title only + Locked Notes". If you want to search all digital notes, select the "All Notes" radio button. But in this case you'll need to enter passwords for "Title only + Locked Notes".
For high security level
By default, you can search all digital existing notes except "Title only + Locked Notes". If you want to search all digital notes, select the "All Notes" radio button. But in this case you'll need to enter administrative passwords for "Title only + Locked Notes".
How to import *.txt and *.rtf files to digital notes
"Import file" function enables you to add *.txt and *.rtf files to digital notes.
To import file into digital note:
Right-click digital note and select Import file item from context menu.
Choose file you want to insert.
Click the Open button.
How to save digital notes in *.txt and *.rtf formats
Save note feature enables you to save digital notes in *.txt and *.rtf formats. To save a digital note as a file choose the Save | Save note item in the context menu.
How to save digital notes as pictures (*.jpg, *.bmp formats)
Save as picture feature allows to save digital notes as pictures in *.bmp and *.jpg formats. If you want to save a digital note as a picture, select Save | Save as picture in the note's context menu.
